Chennai, March 17 (NationPress) The Greater Chennai Police have initiated a manhunt to locate the suspects involved in the gruesome murder of two history-sheeters in Kotturpuram late on Sunday night.

The deceased, identified as Padappai Suresh and Mani, were reportedly assaulted by a group due to a continuing gang rivalry.
As per police reports, Suresh had a background of criminal activities and was implicated in several prior cases.
The incident transpired around midnight while Suresh and Mani were conversing on a street. Suddenly, a group of attackers approached on three motorcycles and encircled them. Sensing the imminent threat, the two men attempted to escape, but the assailants pursued them and attacked with weapons before fleeing.
Upon hearing the disturbance, nearby residents rushed to assist the injured men and notified the police. However, both had succumbed to their wounds by the time they reached the hospital.
The Kotturpuram double homicide occurs shortly after the brutal slaying of Vasoolraja in Kancheepuram, where a 30-year-old history-sheeter was murdered in broad daylight on March 11. He was assaulted outside a ration shop near the Thirukkali Medu Shiva Temple, where unidentified attackers detonated a home-made bomb.
