Bhopal, Feb 11 (NationPress) On Tuesday, the Congress party designated Vikrant Bhuria, the MLA from Jhabua, as the new Chairman of the All India Adivasi Congress.

This marks the first term in office for Bhuria, who is the offspring of renowned tribal figure and ex-Union Minister Kantilal Bhuria. He succeeds the previous chairman, Shivjirao Moghe.

A notification released by Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal states, "The Congress President has appointed Vikrant Bhuria as the chairman of the All India Adivasi Congress, effective immediately. The party acknowledges the contributions made by the outgoing chairman Shivjirao Moghe."

Previously, Bhuria held the position of President of the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress.

He stepped down from this role in April of the previous year amid the Lok Sabha elections, with Mitendra Darshan Singh taking over as the new MP Youth Congress President.
