Jaipur, Feb 11 (NationPress) A new case is set to be initiated against Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 victor and YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Jaipur following the circulation of a video that depicts him being escorted by police during his recent visit to the city.
Nevertheless, officials from the Jaipur Police have refuted claims of providing him with any form of security.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph addressed the matter, stating: "No official escort was granted to anyone. This could be an older video, but currently, no security has been conferred. Should anyone be found editing and disseminating misleading videos, an FIR will be filed post-investigation."
Elvish Yadav arrived in Jaipur on February 8 to film a music video in Sambhar.
During this trip, he recorded multiple vlog segments, one of which showcased a Jaipur Police Chetak vehicle accompanying him to a hotel. Furthermore, when he left for Sambhar, a police emergency response vehicle (112) was seen following his car. The footage also captured a moment at Bagru toll, where Elvish's vehicle was allowed to pass without a halt, seemingly due to the police escort's presence.
The video, taken from inside his vehicle, was shared on Elvish Yadav Vlogs on YouTube on Monday. This incident isn't the first time Elvish Yadav has generated controversy in Jaipur; he was previously recorded slapping a man inside a restaurant on February 10, 2024, an event that quickly gained traction on social media.
Authorities are now probing the latest video, and potential legal actions may follow based on their findings, as stated by police in Jaipur.
According to police representatives, Elvish created the illusion of an escort by driving behind the police vehicle.
Additional Commissioner Rameshwar Singh clarified that should anyone be granted police protection, special permissions and a dedicated escort vehicle are required, not vehicles marked as number 112.
The police reiterated that no formal escort was provided to Elvish.
Moreover, authorities emphasized that an effort has been made to damage the police's reputation through this video.
An official mentioned that a case will be filed against Elvish Yadav and the son of former minister Pratap Khachriyawas, who was present with him. The video is under investigation, and strict measures will be taken against those responsible.
