Gandhinagar, April 23 (NationPress) The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024.
Shakti Dubey from Uttar Pradesh has claimed the top position nationally, while Harshita Goyal from Haryana secured the second spot. Another remarkable candidate, Margi Shah of Gujarat, achieved the fourth rank.
This year, three candidates from Gujarat successfully entered the top 30, underscoring the state's strong representation in one of India’s most esteemed examinations.
Out of 1,009 candidates who sat for the UPSC exam, only 241 passed, having cleared both the mains and the personality test.
The examination cycle commenced with the written tests held in September 2024, followed by interviews conducted between January and April 2025.
The final interviews wrapped up on April 17.
Successful candidates will now advance to elite training institutions, including the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for IAS candidates and the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) for IPS recruits, among other designated setups for allied services.
Shakti Dubey, the national leader, began her UPSC journey in 2018 after earning a biochemistry degree from Banaras Hindu University. Her hard work and commitment over the years culminated in this outstanding achievement.
The UPSC has indicated that the individual scores of successful candidates will be released approximately 15 days after the final results announcement.
The 2024 CSE was organized for filling 1,132 positions across various services, such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central services.
