New Delhi, Feb 23 (NationPress) The global leader in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric, has unveiled plans to establish three additional manufacturing facilities in India as a part of its growing investment strategy. Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum announced that the new plants will be located in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar. The company currently operates 31 manufacturing facilities across the nation.
During his address at the Elecrama 2025 business event, Blum emphasized, "We are harnessing AI and digitization to enhance growth in the Indian energy sector. Innovative technologies like digital grids, IoT-enabled distributed energy resources, microgrids, smart buildings, and smart cities are projected to cut emissions by 75 percent within the next 25 years."
"India is a crucial market and strategic hub for our global expansion. We are committed to investing in the future of India, generating employment opportunities and supporting sustainable development," he remarked.
Earlier, Schneider had revealed plans to invest ₹3,200 crore to broaden its operations in India by 2026.
