Chennai, April 24 (NationPress) Renowned director S A Chandrasekhar, who is also the father of actor Vijay, has gifted a stunning new BMW car to his wife Shobha to celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary.
In a recently released video, director S A Chandrasekhar reflected, "It has been 52 years since I tied the knot. Over these years, I have encountered numerous challenges. I have put my wife through various trials. Despite the difficulties I caused, she has joyfully stood by me for these 52 years. Upon reflecting on this, I realized that giving gifts to your wife when newly married is quite common. After considering our long journey together, I decided to gift her a luxurious car. I chose a model from the BMW Five series. I feel pride and joy thinking about it."

In a previous video uploaded on his official YouTube channel, he shared his life story, recounting his journey while seated at the very platform where he began his film career.
The acclaimed director, widely known as SAC, mentioned that when he arrived in Chennai unbeknownst to his family to pursue a career in cinema, he had nowhere to stay. Not wanting to burden relatives who might inform his family, and lacking funds for rent, he spent time on the platform where he was speaking.
"My home is in Adyar and my office is in Saligrammam, but I intentionally take this route daily to catch a glimpse of that platform. I instruct my driver to slow down when we approach it," he explained, reminiscing about his past.
SAC revealed that he spent a total of 47 days on that platform, which serves as a constant reminder to stay humble and not let success cloud his judgment.
He also shared that each year for two nights, he sleeps on that same platform, unbeknownst to anyone, as a way to honor his modest beginnings.
