Jane Fonda Shares Her Evolving Fitness Routine: A Slower Approach
Los Angeles, Jan 5 (NationPress) Hollywood icon Jane Fonda has shared that while her fitness routine remains consistent, she now approaches it at a slower pace.

Los Angeles, Jan 5 (NationPress) The legendary Hollywood actress Jane Fonda has disclosed that her fitness routine has not changed significantly over the years, although she now practices it at a more leisurely pace.

The 87-year-old star mentioned to people.com: "I essentially do everything I used to do, just slower. I was once an avid runner, but currently, I thoroughly enjoy walking. Being outdoors in nature, especially traversing hills, brings me great joy."

For Fonda, it is crucial to vary her methods of staying fit.

"I exercise daily, so it's essential to change up my movements. I alternate days between upper body and lower body strength training. Additionally, I make sure to incorporate cardio into my routine. Walking outside is one of my preferred ways to achieve that," she stated.

Fonda's passion for fitness dates back to the early 1980s when she launched her first exercise video, Jane Fonda's Workout, inspired by her bestselling book, Jane Fonda's Workout Book.

Reflecting on the impact of her widely popular tapes, Fonda remarked: "I had no idea my videos would become such a phenomenon."

She continued, "At the time I began, there weren't many vigorous exercise options available for women."

"I learned the foundational workout from a charismatic instructor named Leni Kasden in the '70s."

Fonda recalled receiving incredible letters from fans worldwide after the videos were released. One letter came from a young woman in the Peace Corps in Guatemala who did the workouts in her mud hut.

Another woman shared that as she brushed her teeth and looked in the mirror, she noticed new muscles forming in her arms. She expressed that it made her feel empowered, and that very day, she mustered the courage to confront her inappropriate boss for the first time.
