Mumbai, Jan 31 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker has posted an alarming update, suggesting that her X account has likely been compromised.

On Friday, the star of 'Veere De Wedding' took to her Instagram to share a screenshot of her X account, stating, “And now… it appears my Twitter/X account HAS BEEN HACKED!” The first image noted, “Update: More drama with my X account.”

The subsequent image reveals, “I was locked out of my account on January 30 due to a copyright violation charge that I have contested. After that, I attempted to reset my password and regain access to my X account but was unsuccessful. Then, I received an email indicating that two-factor authentication had been disabled. On January 31, I got another email stating that an unknown account accepted a delegation invite from my handle, now able to post, send DMs, and create lists and groups.”

“I have not sent any invitations to anyone. The verified account @reallySwara remains visible on X, but I currently have no access to it. It seems my account has indeed been hacked.”

Previously, Swara criticized X after her account was suspended over alleged copyright infringements. In a detailed message, she explained the basis for the suspension, pointing out that one flagged image included the iconic slogan “Gandhi Hum Sharmindaa Hain, Tere Qaatil Zindagi Hain,” a well-known phrase from the progressive movement in India. The actress defended the image, asserting it is an urban, modern folk idiom devoid of copyright.

Sharing a screenshot of her suspended X account, Swara exclaimed, “You can’t make this stuff up!!!! Dear X, Two images from two tweets have been flagged as ‘copyright infringements.’ As a result, my X account is locked/disabled, and I cannot access it, with permanent suspension approved by your teams. One image features an orange background and Hindi Devnaagri script stating “Gandhi Hum Sharmindaa hain, Tere qaatil zindagi hain,” a popular slogan from the progressive movement in India. There is no copyright violation; it is akin to an urban modern folk idiom.”

Her message continued, “The second flagged image is of MY OWN child with her face hidden, waving an Indian flag with the text ‘HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY India.’ How can this possibly constitute copyright infringement??? Who holds the copyright on my child’s likeness??? Both complaints are ludicrous and untenable based on any rational, logical, and objective legal definition of copyright. If these tweets have been mass-reported, they are intended to harass me and suppress my freedom of speech and expression. Please review and reverse your decision.”
