Following PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron's address at the AI Action Summit in Paris, Vance stated, "I appreciate Prime Minister Modi's point. AI, I genuinely believe, will enable and enhance people's productivity. It will not replace humans. It will never replace humans."
Co-chairing the AI Action Summit alongside President Macron, PM Modi remarked that AI is transforming the landscape of polity, economy, security, and society.
"AI is writing the code for humanity in this century. However, it is distinctly different from other technological milestones throughout history," he added.
He also noted that AI has the potential to revolutionize millions of lives by advancing health, agriculture, education, and other sectors.
"Job displacement is the most feared disruption caused by AI. However, history indicates that technology does not eliminate jobs; it alters their nature and creates new types of employment. We must invest in upskilling and reskilling our workforce for an AI-centric future," the Prime Minister emphasized.
