New Delhi, March 17 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United States Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard convened in the national capital on Monday, exchanging not only pleasantries but also gifts, including Ganga Jal (sacred Ganga water) and a handcrafted mala.
During the meeting, PM Modi gifted the visiting US Intelligence chief with Ganga Jal collected from the Maha Kumbh, while elaborating on the significance of the world’s largest religious gathering.
"This is the water gathered from Maha Kumbh, where approximately 66 crore individuals participated in a dip of faith over a 45-day auspicious period at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati," PM Modi can be heard explaining to Tulsi Gabbard in the video.
"Thank you very much," replied an enthusiastic Gabbard.
In return, the US Intelligence chief presented a handcrafted mala to the Prime Minister.
This meeting occurred shortly after India raised concerns regarding anti-India and Khalistani terror elements with the United States.
Earlier in the day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh communicated with the US Director of National Intelligence about India’s worries regarding anti-national elements, particularly pro-Khalistani factions that include banned groups like the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), which are active within the US.
Sources indicate that Defence Minister Singh urged the US government to take decisive action against these banned terror outfits.
This meeting between these two significant figures underscored the vital role of strategic security as a foundation of the broad global partnership between India and the US, as noted in an official statement.
According to the statement, "Rajnath Singh and Gabbard evaluated the extraordinary progress made in joint military exercises, strategic alignment, the integration of defense industrial networks, and the sharing of maritime intelligence."
