Responding in Rajya Sabha to the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address, PM Modi remarked that prior to his government taking office in 2014, the Congress had left the nation with a development framework rooted in lies, deceit, corruption, dynastic governance, and polarisation.

He showcased the achievements of his administration over the last decade, emphasizing welfare programs aimed at women, farmers, artisans, small business owners, Dalits, the disabled, and transgender individuals.

Modi stated, “The marginalized groups, often overlooked by others, are revered by Modi,” as members from the treasury bench applauded.

He continued, “Our development model prioritizes the nation first, and it has been recognized, tested, and endorsed by the populace since we took power in 2014,” underscoring the concept of saturation in welfare schemes to ensure benefits reach all.

Critiquing earlier Congress administrations, he insisted, “Our alternative development strategy is rooted in fulfilling the needs of the populace, not in polarisation.”

His statements also pointed to the inequity in development benefits distributed during Congress rule.

The Prime Minister emphasized the execution of ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas’ at the grassroots level and the transformative impact it has had.

He noted that his government reinforced the ‘SC and ST Act’ to enhance respect for Dalits, granted constitutional recognition to OBCs, and accorded them the dignity they deserve alongside all 140 crore citizens.

PM Modi further highlighted initiatives for the disabled, transgender individuals, and women.

“This new Parliament will be remembered for its inaugural decision on women's reservation in Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies,” he asserted.

Additionally, PM Modi criticized previous Congress administrations for failing to award B.R. Ambedkar the Bharat Ratna, demonstrating a disrespect for the Dalit icon.

He also pointed out how targeted initiatives for underprivileged communities and skilled labor have transformed the nation into a toy exporter rather than an importer.

The increase in the export of fishery products has also contributed significantly to enhancing the livelihoods of fishermen.
