New Delhi, April 24 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a commanding message to the nation’s adversaries, asserting that India will "identify, trace, and punish" every terrorist and their affiliates, pursuing them to the “ends of the Earth.”

Addressing a large assembly in Madhubani, Bihar, during National Panchayati Raj Day, PM Modi stated: “Today, from the soil of Bihar, I want to tell the entire world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. The spirit of India will not be broken by terrorism. It will not go unpunished. Every possible effort will be made to ensure justice is served. The entire nation stands united in this resolve. Every person who believes in humanity is with us.”

Following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, the government announced several decisive actions against Pakistan. These measures include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the Integrated Check Post at the Attari border, and reducing diplomatic presence at both countries’ embassies.

IANS reached out to various residents of Delhi to gather their perspectives on the Prime Minister’s address.

One local resident expressed, “I think now we need to go beyond what we did in Balakot and Uri. Pakistan won’t change with small strikes. It’s a positive step that strong measures are being taken, but more is needed. Unless we directly target the Pakistani army, these attacks will continue. We always talk about and admire Israel - a small nation standing tall against 56 Islamic countries. India has a population of over 150 crore. We must act accordingly.”

Another local remarked: “PM Modi has always delivered a strong message, and we’ll soon see how impactful this one truly is. Diplomatic measures are appreciated, but they won’t suffice on their own. We need concrete actions to dismantle Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. This 35-year-long infiltration must be eradicated. Cosmetic actions won’t help - real, impactful steps are necessary.

“This is a welcome move by the government. For the past 14 years, new terror factions have been emerging. If the government is now taking serious actions — cutting off water supply and halting diplomatic relations — then that’s imperative. However, we also need to address those within our borders who fuel this hatred,” said another local.

Another resident commented, “Based on Prime Minister Modi’s track record, I have no doubts about his intentions. Whenever he has made a commitment, he has delivered. This time, there should be a direct surgical strike — not just on terrorists, but also on those who support and fund them. I’m pleased that actions are being taken, but true peace will only materialize when full justice is achieved, and those behind the attacks are held accountable.”
