Paris, April 25 (NationPress) French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday engaged in a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, affirming that France stands resolutely with India and its citizens during this period of mourning.
Macron further emphasized that France will unite with its partners to persist in the battle against terrorism whenever required.
On the social media platform X, the French President expressed: "I have just spoken to my counterpart @narendramodi about the cowardly terrorist attack on Tuesday, which led to the tragic death of dozens of innocent civilians. France stands firmly with India and its people in this hour of grief. France, along with its allies, will continue the fight against terrorism wherever necessary."
Previously, on Thursday evening, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced on X: "President @EmmanuelMacron contacted Prime Minister @narendramodi to express his personal condolences following the brutal killing of innocent individuals in the heinous terror attack in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He strongly condemned the attack and offered unwavering support and solidarity with the people of India, asserting that such barbarism is absolutely intolerable."

In the aftermath of the attack, India convened a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
