Jaipur, Feb 22 (NationPress) In a significant effort against cyber fraud, the Malakheda police station in Rajasthan's Alwar district executed a raid in Dhola Palas village, resulting in the arrest of two juveniles involved in online scams.

Authorities confiscated three mobile phones utilized in these fraudulent operations. SP Sanjeev Nain revealed that a specialized task force, directed by Additional Superintendent of Police Dr Tejpal Singh and DSP Traffic Mukesh Chaudhary, has been established to address cyber crimes including online fraud, sextortion, and scams on platforms such as OLX.

As part of this initiative, SHO Hitesh Sharma and his team, leveraging intelligence and technical resources, effectively tracked down and arrested the two juveniles engaged in cyber fraud. A case has been filed, and further inquiries are underway.

The juveniles employed a deceptive method involving fake tax messages. They dispatched SMS alerts to random individuals, impersonating official bank notifications regarding funds being credited. Victims were subsequently deceived into returning money, under the impression that it had been erroneously deposited into their accounts.

This operation was executed by SHO Hitesh Sharma, ASI Umardin, Head Constable Sugan Singh, and Constables Suresh Chand and Rinku Ram.

The Rajasthan Police previously initiated Operation Cyber Shield in January this year to combat cybercrime, emphasizing the resolution of complaints, identification of hotspots, blocking of suspicious SIMs, and increasing public awareness.

This campaign, led under the guidance of Director General of Police (DGP) Utkal Ranjan Sahu, aimed to dismantle cyber criminals, resolve outstanding cyber cases, and enhance public understanding of cybersecurity.

In light of the rising incidents of cyber crimes, the police are persistently implementing new strategies to combat these issues, with this operation in Alwar being a vital component of that initiative, officials stated.
