Hyderabad, April 15 (NationPress) Following the ‘Red Book’ introduced by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh in the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh, the attention now turns to the ‘Pink Book’ championed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha in Telangana.
Kavitha issued a stern warning to the leaders of the ruling Congress party and officials who are allegedly harassing BRS workers, stating their names will be recorded in the ‘Pink Book’.
“Those who engage in harassment will face consequences. Their names will be included in the Pink Book,” she declared during a meeting with BRS workers in Banswada, located in Nizamabad district on Tuesday.
Kavitha, the daughter of BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), described herself as a ‘rowdy type’. “While KCR might be a good person, I embrace my rowdy nature,” she said, eliciting cheers from party supporters.
This member of the Telangana Legislative Council emphasized that no one who harasses party workers will be spared.
“I will not forgive those who have troubled you and involved you with law enforcement. The Pink Book will document their names. They could be leaders or officials, but we will not overlook anyone,” she asserted.
Kavitha insisted that during the BRS administration, no excesses were committed. She reassured BRS leaders that they will not be intimidated by threats.
The BRS leader’s warning regarding the Pink Book mirrors the ‘Red Book’ of TDP leader Nara Lokesh.
In the lead-up to last year's elections in Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh frequently showcased the ‘Red Book’ at public events, asserting that it contained the names of police officials acting under the directives of then Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to target him, his father Chandrababu Naidu, and other TDP leaders.
He had claimed that once TDP regained power, it would retaliate against the officials responsible for the actions taken against TDP leaders over the past five years.
The YSR Congress Party, which lost its grip on power to the TDP-led NDA, is now accusing the ruling coalition of targeting individuals listed in the ‘Red Book’.
Jagan Mohan Reddy has commented that the coalition government is adhering to the ‘Red Book’ constitution.
