New Delhi, March 16 (NationPress) As Indian talents such as Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella continue to excel in leading prominent tech companies worldwide, particularly in the United States, Prime Minister Modi remarked on Sunday that individuals raised in India, especially those from joint families and nurtured in an open society, find it easier to manage complex tasks and large teams effectively.
In a frank discussion with American podcaster Lex Fridman, the Prime Minister pointed out that this is why Indian professionals often occupy significant leadership roles in major corporations across the globe.
"The problem-solving skills and analytical mindset of Indian professionals are truly remarkable. I am convinced that this ability is so profound that it renders Indians globally competitive and immensely valuable on the international stage. This is why you'll see Indians achieving extraordinary results in areas like innovation, entrepreneurship, startups, and boardrooms," PM Modi elaborated.
The Indian culture fosters a belief that equal respect should be accorded to both the place of birth and the workplace, according to the Prime Minister.
"As much as there is commitment to one's homeland, there should be a similar dedication to the workplace. One should always strive to give their best wherever they are. Due to these profound cultural values, every Indian aims to put forth their utmost effort, irrespective of their role or position. They don’t wait until they’re in senior roles; they excel even in smaller positions," the PM commented.
Moreover, they avoid involvement in anything questionable or unethical.
"They remain committed to what is right and ethical. Their nature is collaborative, allowing them to work well with others, ultimately leading to success. Merely having knowledge is insufficient. The ability to work cooperatively within a team is significantly more crucial. Understanding people and leveraging their strengths is an incredibly valuable skill," PM Modi stated.
The Prime Minister also touched upon the space sector, which was previously entirely government-controlled; however, just a couple of years ago, "I opened it up to the private sector, and now we have over 200 startups engaged in space technology."
"Additionally, our missions, such as Chandrayaan, are remarkably cost-effective. India’s Chandrayaan mission costs less than what Hollywood invests in a single blockbuster film. Thus, when the world observes our cost-effectiveness, they naturally ponder why not collaborate with India? This inherently generates global respect for Indian talent. I see this as a hallmark of our civilizational ethos," PM Modi remarked.
