Patna, April 24 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a stern message to the nation’s adversaries on Thursday, declaring that India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their accomplices, pursuing them to the ends of the Earth.
Prior to his address, the Prime Minister observed a two-minute silence to honor the victims and paid homage to their memory.
PM Modi expressed that the country stands united in mourning for the victims who lost their lives in the despicable act of terrorism.
He urged the audience to take a moment of silence for those lost in the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in 26 fatalities, primarily among tourists, on Tuesday.
"Before I commence my speech, I kindly request everyone to observe a moment of silence to pay tribute to the families affected by the terror attacks on April 22," PM Modi remarked.
Speaking to a large crowd in Bihar's Madhubani on Panchayati Raj Day, PM Modi condemned the heinous terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
"The brutal murder of innocent individuals by terrorists in Pahalgam on April 22 has brought profound sadness across the nation. Millions of Indians are in mourning. The entire country stands in solidarity with the grieving families during this tragic period," he stated.
"In this attack, some lost their sons, some their brothers, and some their life partners. Victims spoke a variety of languages: Bangla, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Gujarati, and Bihari. From Kargil to Kanyakumari, we all share in this sorrow," the Prime Minister continued.
Emphasizing that terrorists and their backers will face severe consequences, PM Modi stated, "This attack was not merely against unarmed tourists but an affront to the very soul of India. Let me be clear: those responsible for this attack and those who orchestrated it will face a punishment beyond their imagination. We will hold them accountable."
"Today, from the land of Bihar, I proclaim to the world: India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their supporters. We will pursue them relentlessly. The spirit of India will never bow to terrorism. Those who commit acts of terror will not evade justice. The entire nation is resolute in this commitment. Everyone who cherishes humanity stands with us," he asserted.
"I express my gratitude to the various nations that have supported us during these challenging times," the Prime Minister concluded.
This response follows the tragic incident where 26 individuals were killed and numerous others injured in what PM Modi referred to as a "cowardly attack on innocent civilians."
The attack, suspected to be executed by the Pakistan-based terrorist organization The Resistance Front, has prompted a series of decisive retaliatory measures from India.
