Mumbai, April 24 (NationPress) The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday announced a contribution of Rs 1 crore to support the families of those affected by the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, located in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ashish Chauhan, Managing Director and CEO of NSE, emphasized their commitment to standing with the bereaved families during this challenging period.

“We are profoundly saddened by the horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir on April 22, 2025, which claimed the lives of 26 individuals,” Chauhan stated in a message posted on the X social media platform.

“As a humble act of support, NSE pledges Rs 1 crore to the next of kin of the victims, reinforcing our solidarity with their families during this heart-wrenching time,” he continued.

In a related effort, LIC of India has also committed to assist the victims of this terrorist incident and will prioritize claim settlements to offer financial aid.

“LIC of India expresses profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in Pahalgam as a result of the terrorist attack on April 22,” the nation’s largest life insurer declared in an official statement.

The LIC announcement indicated that documentation such as death certificates or any governmental evidence of the deceased policyholder due to the terrorist incident will be accepted as proof of death.

“We will take all necessary measures to ensure that claimants are contacted and claims are processed swiftly for the affected families,” stated LIC Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Siddharta Mohanty.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a rally in Bihar, assured that India would “identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their supporters beyond their imagination.”

“The resilience of India will remain unshaken by terrorism. There will be no tolerance for terrorism,” PM Modi added.
