Bengaluru, April 24 (NationPress) The remains of three victims from the Pahalgam terror attack arrived in Bengaluru early Thursday morning, comprising two individuals from Karnataka and one from Andhra Pradesh. Accompanying the families was BJP MP and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha National President Tejasvi Surya, who traveled with them from Srinagar, Kashmir.

The body of one victim, Manjunath Rao, is being transported to Shivamogga from Bengaluru International Airport. Another victim, Bharat Bhushan, will be interred in Mattikere, Bengaluru, while Madhusudhan's body is headed to Nellore in Andhra Pradesh via Chennai.

At the airport, Tejasvi Surya, alongside Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti V. Somanna, paid respectful tributes. Surya emphasized that the nation stands in solidarity with the grieving families during this devastating period.

In a statement to IANS, V. Somanna remarked, “This is utterly unacceptable and deserves condemnation. Our leaders, including the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, and Defence Minister, have already taken decisive action. This strong stance will persist. We must convey a clear message that perpetrators of such incidents will face consequences.”

“This is the commitment of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji,” he added.

Pradeep, the brother-in-law of victim Manjunath Rao, who was present to support his sister’s family, expressed his sorrow: “In addition to our family, 25 other families are mourning the loss of life. Numerous others are injured. The most harrowing aspect is that my brother-in-law was shot in front of his wife. I can’t fathom how she copes with that. I’m still questioning how they will manage.”

“Yesterday, when I spoke to her before their flight to Bengaluru, my sister sounded remarkably strong. She maintained her composure while I struggled with my emotions. Their son is 18 years old, having just completed his Class 12 board exams, and they had embarked on a vacation,” he shared.

“It’s chilling that such an attack transpired before their eyes. I can’t imagine how the boy will deal with this. He’s just a young man with his future ahead of him. This trauma may deeply affect his mental health. I haven’t seen them yet; I’m still waiting here for them,” Pradeep conveyed.

“First and foremost, I want to see them. Facing her will be incredibly difficult,” he admitted with a heavy heart.

On a broader note, Pradeep stated, “Religion is a private affair. Whatever belief system one adheres to should remain within one’s home. Attending a temple, church, or mosque is a personal decision. There’s no necessity for public declarations or imposing beliefs on others.”

He further called on the authorities, “No individual involved in this incident should escape justice. Preventive measures must be enforced to ensure such incidents never happen again. I’ve witnessed the news—countless families are suffering, and even armed personnel have been impacted. No innocent person should endure this.”

“My sole request is for effective preventive measures to be established. No one deserves to experience such a tragedy,” he concluded.
