Patna, Jan 12 (NationPress) In light of the upcoming Bihar Bandh called by Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav, the Chhatra Yuva Shakti organized a torchlight march on Saturday evening.

The demonstration commenced at the Income Tax roundabout and made its way to Dakbungla Chowk in Patna. During the march, participants expressed their solidarity with the protesting BPSC candidates, chanting slogans to amplify their demands.

Pappu Yadav has declared a Bihar Bandh for Sunday, January 12, in support of the BPSC candidates who are voicing grievances about alleged irregularities pertaining to the examination. The bandh presents a considerable challenge for the state government as it braces for managing the potential disruptions and maintaining law and order throughout the statewide protest.

In Muzaffarpur, the RJD student wing organized a protest march from Shaheed Khudiram Bose Stadium to Tower Chowk on Saturday. During this demonstration, participants set fire to an effigy of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, showcasing their frustration regarding the alleged irregularities in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination.

Amarendra Kumar, State Vice President and University In-charge of the RJD student wing, slammed the state government, asserting, "There is no effective governance left in Bihar. Examination rigging has become rampant, which is why the paper was leaked." He highlighted that despite ongoing student protests, the BPSC examination remains uncancelled. Leaders from the RJD student wing reiterated their commitment to backing the students' movement.

Amarendra Kumar emphasized that his leader, Tejashwi Yadav, has been supporting the protests from the outset, and the RJD student wing will persist in their agitation until the examination is officially annulled.

Avinash Kumar, also known as Raja Babu, the district in-charge of the RJD student wing in Muzaffarpur, reaffirmed their ongoing support for the protesting students. He stated, "We have been advocating for student issues from the beginning and will continue to do so in the future." The RJD student wing has pledged to maintain its efforts until the students' demands are fulfilled.
