Kolkata, Jan 21 (NationPress) England has revealed their lineup for the inaugural T20I match against India, which will kick off on Wednesday at Eden Gardens. This match signifies the start of the Brendon McCullum era in white-ball cricket for the team.

England's wicketkeeper and opening batsman will be Phil Salt, who gained recognition during the 2024 IPL season. He will partner with Ben Duckett from Nottinghamshire. Captain Jos Buttler is set to bat at the third position, while the pace attack will be spearheaded by Jofra Archer and Mark Wood.

McCullum, a strong advocate of Bazball cricket in the longest format, is transitioning into white-ball cricket with this five-match T20I series, followed by three ODIs against India, leading into the Champions Trophy in Pakistan and Dubai in February-March.
