Lausanne (Switzerland), March 13 (NationPress) Members of the Netherlands-Belgium 2026 Organising Committee, along with officials from the International Hockey Federation (FIH), assessed the preparations for the 2026 FIH World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the Netherlands and Belgium.
A delegation from the Dutch and Belgian Hockey Associations engaged in a two-day meeting at FIH’s headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, to address critical topics pertaining to the upcoming FIH Hockey World Cup in 2026, as announced by FIH on Thursday.
FIH President Tayyab Ikram expressed gratitude, stating: “On behalf of FIH and myself, I wish to extend our appreciation to our friends from Belgium and the Netherlands for co-hosting the next edition of our most esteemed event in 2026. We are excited to leverage the exceptional expertise from these two prominent hockey nations.”
“It was a pleasure to host the delegation led by the CEOs of the Belgian and Dutch Hockey Associations, Serge Pilet and Erik Gerritsen respectively.
