Gurugram, March 13 (NationPress) Vani Kapoor navigated a challenging finish with back-to-back bogeys but still clinched her third consecutive victory during the sixth leg of the 2025 Women’s Pro Golf Tour on Thursday. The accomplished golfer recorded a score of 1-over 73 in the final round at the demanding DLF Golf and Country Club, her home course, securing the leg by three strokes.

Vani's performance included rounds of 72-72-73, totaling 1-over 217 for the tournament, while amateur Anvvi achieved her best result on the Hero WPGT with scores of 71-77-74, finishing at 220.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Vani, as the last player to win three consecutive legs was Vidhatri Urs in 2024. With this win, Vani ascends to the top of the Order of Merit. She had previously topped this list three times in a row from 2014 to 2016 but has been focused on international competitions since then. This trio of wins is expected to boost her confidence for her upcoming international endeavors.

Amateur Anvvi Dahhiya posed a challenge mid-round with back-to-back birdies but faltered with a double bogey on the 18th hole, allowing Vani to secure her victory despite her own two final bogeys.

Starting with a two-shot advantage, Vani opened with four straight pars before securing a birdie on the Par-3 fifth. A slip on the Par-5 eighth was redeemed with back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th holes.

A double bogey on the 14th hole, where Anvvi scored a birdie, created a three-shot swing in favor of the amateur, but Vani countered with a birdie on the 15th. Despite her closing bogeys, Anvvi's double bogey on the final hole solidified Vani's win.

First-round leader Lavanya Jadon concluded her week with a score of 75, including a triple bogey on the Par-5 fourth. She recorded three birdies, three bogeys, and a triple bogey, finishing in third at 6-over 222. Sneha Singh faced a challenging round with a score of 5-over 77, placing fourth at 223, with only one birdie compared to four bogeys and a double bogey.

In fifth place was Gaurika Bishnoi (76), while amateur Keya K Badugu delivered the best round of the day with a score of 71, the only under-par round. Gauri Karhade (75) and Amandeep Drall (79) were tied for seventh, while Ridhima Dilawari (78) and Anvitha Narender (77) rounded out the top ten.

With this victory, Vani took the lead in the Order of Merit with earnings of Rs.8,54,000, pushing Sneha to second with Rs. 7,82,567. Amandeep Drall moved into third place with Rs 4,92,300, while Kriti Chowhan (Rs.4,57.434) and Lavanya Jadon (Rs.4,49,267) rounded out the top five.
