  • Kushwaha criticizes RJD’s focus on Tejashwi Yadav.
  • Congress leaders accused of neglecting Dalit issues.
  • Rahul Gandhi mispronounced Jaglal Chaudhary's name.

Patna, Feb 6 (NationPress) The chief of Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha has voiced his belief that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will establish the upcoming government in Delhi, in line with recent Exit Polls indicating a positive result for the BJP in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.

Kushwaha remarked that the Exit Polls showcase the populace's discontent with the current Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration led by Arvind Kejriwal.

He noted that residents of Delhi appear dissatisfied with Kejriwal's leadership, stating that he has failed to address numerous public concerns.

“We believe that this time's Exit Poll is entirely accurate. The people of Delhi have rallied behind the BJP,” Kushwaha asserted.

Kushwaha also took aim at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, arguing that his ongoing focus on promoting Tejashwi Yadav as Chief Minister could undermine the RJD's strength.

“The more Lalu Prasad Yadav emphasizes Tejashwi Yadav's Chief Ministerial prospects, the more fragile the Rashtriya Janata Dal will become. His repetitive claims regarding Tejashwi Yadav will be detrimental to the party,” Kushwaha stated.

Additionally, he accused Congress representatives of overlooking the welfare of Dalits. He highlighted an incident during Rahul Gandhi's visit to Patna, where Gandhi mispronounced the name of renowned Dalit leader Jaglal Chaudhary during a public gathering.

Kushwaha mentioned that the Dalit community witnessed how Rahul Gandhi effectively “disgraced” Jaglal Chaudhary on stage.

“Rahul Gandhi was unable to articulate the name correctly. When attendees reacted, they realized that it wasn't Jagat Lal Chaudhary but rather Jaglal Chaudhary. How can a leader who cannot even recall a prominent leader's name be expected to advocate for Dalit welfare?” Kushwaha questioned.

Jaglal Chaudhary was a significant Dalit leader from Bihar, recognized for his efforts towards social justice and the empowerment of marginalized communities. His influence remains pivotal in Bihar's political and social narrative. He also served as the Excise Minister of Bihar, where he was instrumental in implementing the state's first liquor ban.

Rahul Gandhi's misarticulation of Jaglal Chaudhary's name during his Patna visit faced backlash from various factions, including Upendra Kushwaha, who interpreted it as indicative of the Congress's detachment from Dalit leaders and their issues.
