Patna, Feb 12 (NationPress) The results for the January session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 have been announced, and Bihar's Panini Sharma has claimed the title of state topper by achieving an outstanding 99.9942 percentile.
Holding an All India Rank (AIR) of 23, Panini has made his hometown of Hajipur, Vaishali, and the whole state of Bihar proud.
Panini, the son of Sanjay Sharma and Nibha Kumari, completed his education in Patna. His father mentioned that Panini has always been an exceptionally bright student with a strong interest in astronomy and astrophysics.
His academic prowess is further highlighted by his impressive accomplishments in international competitions.
He earned a silver medal at the 17th International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics 2024 held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was also chosen for OCSC 2023 (Astronomy and Astrophysics) and qualified for INPHO, INCHO, and INAO, opting for Astronomy Camp as his specialization.

During the JEE Mains 2025 exam, 13,11,544 students registered, with 12,58,136 (95.93 percent) appearing for it. The exam took place on January 22-24 and January 28-29 at 618 centres across 304 cities nationwide, with 14 students achieving a perfect 100 percentile.
