Gurugram, Feb 3 (NationPress) A suspect was apprehended on Monday for allegedly assaulting a 31-year-old man inside a club on January 28, according to police reports.

The injured party has been identified as Nikhil Sehrawat, who hails from Mohan Garden in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, and is currently residing in Anantraj Estate in Sector-63 Gurugram.

Reportedly, the victim works as a model. The alleged assailant has been named as Rohit, a resident of Gwal Pahari in Gurugram.

As per police statements, the victim lodged a complaint on January 28, stating that he had visited Dorsia Club on Gurugram-Faridabad Road with friends on January 25.

He claimed that after dining, he began to dance.

During this time, the bouncers forcibly removed him on the club owner's orders, beating him with sticks and other weapons.

Following the incident, the victim underwent nose surgery at a hospital in Delhi. The police have initiated a case based on his complaint and are currently investigating.

A case has been registered against the club owner and the bouncers at the DLF Phase-1 police station.

During questioning, the accused mentioned that the victim had consumed too much alcohol and sustained injuries during the altercation as he was being escorted out.

"We have arrested one individual concerning the assault. The investigation team is examining CCTV footage from the club to identify additional suspects," stated Sandeep, spokesperson for Gurugram Police.

This incident is not the first involving bouncer assaults within Gurugram clubs.

Last year, a group of bouncers allegedly attacked 9-10 individuals celebrating a birthday at Dock Yard Club in Sector-47, Gurugram.

In response to such occurrences, district police have begun conducting police verification processes for bouncers.

"We have instructed all security agencies that provide bouncers to pubs, bars, nightclubs, and other venues to ensure police verification of their staff. Non-compliance will result in strict penalties," Kumar stated.

"We have firmly directed various agencies to adhere to our guidelines to maintain public order. Such incidents will be dealt with severely," he added.
