Mysuru, Jan 20 (NationPress) A businessman from Kerala was ambushed by a group of four robbers and stripped of his car and cash in Karnataka's Mysuru district, as reported by officials on Monday.
A video recorded by bystanders has gained traction on social media, sparking worries across the state.
As per police reports, Sufi, the Kerala businessman, was intercepted at Harohalli village in Jayapura Hobli on Monday by a gang of four masked assailants. The robbers forcibly removed him from his vehicle, issued threats, and discarded him. They then fled the scene with both the cash and the vehicle.
This crime took place in broad daylight on a busy road. It was reported that Sufi was traveling from Karnataka back to Kerala. After the incident, Sufi contacted the police, leading to immediate action from the Jayapura police, who registered a case.
Police have alerted all check posts along the route to Kerala and set up barricades at various locations.
