Prayagraj, Feb 5 (NationPress) 'Kathavachak' Devkinandan Thakur described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a genuine Sanatani on Wednesday. He also addressed the comments made by Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan.

In an interview with IANS, Devkinandan Thakur expressed his admiration for PM Modi's participation in the Mahakumbh dip. He stated: "It is a significant source of pride that PM Modi came to immerse himself at the Maha Kumbh. For Sanatanis, this is a matter of profound honor because PM Narendra Modi is, first and foremost, a genuine Sanatani, and then a Prime Minister."

He continued: "PM Modi possesses a strong belief in Sanatan. Today, he has demonstrated that when 100 crore Sanatanis stand united, the Prime Minister himself partakes in the dip. PM Modi truly embodies the essence of Sanatan and dedicates his efforts towards it."

Regarding Jaya Bachchan's remarks, Devkinandan Thakur commented: "I prefer not to mention anyone's name. However, if opposition leaders possess methods that can purify the Ganga, they should showcase such techniques. We are open to that as well."

It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, PM Narendra Modi took a dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the ongoing Mahakumbh.

During the ceremony, he held a Rudraksha in his hand and recited mantras. After immersing in the Ganga, he also offered prayers to ‘Surya’ (Sun). PM Modi shared his reflections and various images on social media following the dip.

Significantly, despite the presence of VIPs, devotees have not encountered any challenges in taking a dip at the Sangam during the Mahakumbh, which commenced on January 13.

Consequently, within just 24 days, approximately 39 crore devotees have experienced a sacred dip at the Sangam.
