Patna, Feb 22 (NationPress) JD-U MLC Neeraj Kumar has criticized Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, for making groundless accusations regarding the health of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
In a mocking tone, Neeraj Kumar questioned if Tejashwi's political judgement had been restored.
“Just yesterday, individuals with minimal education were spreading unfounded political remarks about Hon'ble @NitishKumar ji's health. They faced a strong rebuttal from the Chief Minister's son, Nishant Kumar, who is an engineering alumnus of BIT Mesra,” Neeraj Kumar stated.
He also posed a question regarding Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi's father and RJD chief, asking why he was absent from the Karyakarta Darshan Sah Samvad Yatra.
“If Tejashwi Yadav genuinely cares about our leader's health, he should publicly reveal Lalu's health status. Why did Lalu not attend the party's yatras? If his health is an issue, what is the purpose of him being the national president of the party? He seems to be politically confined,” Neeraj Kumar commented.
This sharp rhetoric between JD-U and RJD occurs amidst escalating political rivalries in Bihar, with both factions preparing for the 2025 Assembly elections.
Earlier on Friday, Nishant Kumar expressed to reporters at Patna airport, “My father is completely fit.”
He urged the citizens of Bihar to back his father and vote him back as Chief Minister in the upcoming Assembly elections.
He underscored the welfare initiatives and advancements made under Nitish Kumar's guidance since 2005.
Nishant's public defense of his father's health and leadership coincides with rising speculation about his possible entry into state politics.
Tejashwi has been vocal about his concerns regarding Chief Minister Nitish’s health, alleging that the leader is “mentally and physically exhausted.”
He further likened CM Nitish to an obsolete vehicle, comparing him to cars older than 15 years that are banned from the roads due to pollution, asserting that after two decades in power, the JD-U leader has become ineffective.
