New Delhi, Feb 5 (NationPress) Actress Pooja Hegde has an extensive list of genres she aspires to explore, including action, a children's movie, and a superhero film.
Pooja embarked on her acting journey with the Tamil film “Mugamoodi” in 2012. In 2016, she entered Bollywood with the Hrithik Roshan-starrer “Mohenjo Daro”. By 2025, the talented actress has graced numerous films across various genres.
Nevertheless, Pooja believes there’s “still a lot left” to achieve.
She revealed to IANS: “I want to do an action film where I perform the stunts myself. I enjoy intriguing characters and character-driven dramas. I would love to work on a father-daughter or a mother-daughter narrative... or something that highlights friendship.”
The 34-year-old actress expressed her aspiration to create a film for kids, a genre that remains largely untapped in the country.
“I’d love to create something for children because I grew up adoring Harry Potter and stories filled with magic. That’s a genre we really haven’t delved into much in India.”
But that’s not all!
Pooja, whose most recent film is “Deva” alongside Shahid Kapoor, shared her ambition to portray a superhero on screen.
“I would also like to do a story similar to Captain Marvel where I play the superhero.”
She added: “I believe people enjoy watching films because they see themselves as the hero or feel represented by the character. It’s vital for women to have strong female characters to look up to, and I think there’s a lot more I can do.”
“So, there’s a lot I have not done,” she wrapped up.
