Hyderabad, Feb 5 (NationPress) Anurag University (AU) in Hyderabad has formed a partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), the largest public university in the United States, to enhance the accessibility and affordability of global education for Indian students.
This collaboration paves the way for AU students to engage in dual-degree programs, participate in research initiatives, and secure global industry internships, thus preparing them for careers on an international scale. By merging the academic strengths of both institutions, this partnership seeks to reduce the financial burden of obtaining world-class education.
India is ASU’s largest source of international students, with more than 6,600 Indian students enrolling each year. Overall, ASU attracts over 181,000 students annually, including upwards of 16,000 from various countries.
As part of this alliance, AU becomes a member of the ASU-Cintana Alliance, a global network of prestigious universities spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. This membership provides AU students and faculty with access to advanced research, collaborative international projects, and practical industry experiences, thereby enhancing their global competitiveness.
"This collaboration extends beyond education; it’s about changing lives," stated Dr. Michael M. Crow, President of ASU. "By blending ASU’s globally recognized curriculum with AU’s regional strengths, we are creating pathways for Indian students to seize world-class opportunities without having to travel far."
"Our commitment is to equip our students with advantages in an increasingly interconnected world," remarked Dr. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Chairman of Anurag University. "With ASU’s insights, we aim to not only enhance academic quality but also foster the next generation of global leaders right here in Hyderabad."
Founded in 1990, Anurag University is situated on a sprawling 100-acre campus in Hyderabad and achieved university status in 2020. It serves over 15,000 students, with approximately 4,500 new admissions each year.
Arizona State University has consistently been recognized as the number one institution for innovation in the US for nine consecutive years. It is also listed among the world’s top universities concerning sustainability and research, boasting nearly $1 billion in annual research funding.
