New Delhi, Jan 19 (NationPress) The year 2025 will be distinguished for the international tech brand OnePlus in India by significant innovations, customised features designed specifically for the local market, and outstanding customer support, the company announced on Sunday.
India is a crucial market for OnePlus, and to enhance this, “we have recently unveiled Project Starlight, which represents one of the largest investments by OnePlus in India,” a representative stated to IANS.
“Under this initiative, we intend to invest Rs 2,000 Crore annually until 2027, concentrating on three primary areas: enhancing device durability, providing exceptional customer service, and developing features specifically for India,” mentioned the OnePlus spokesperson.
In Q3 2024, India's smartphone market reached its all-time high value, spurred by the trend of premiumisation and local manufacturing. According to Counterpoint Research, 5G smartphones achieved their highest-ever market share of 81% in overall shipments.
The company's strategy for the Indian market in 2025 is both comprehensive and ambitious.
“With the successful introduction of the OnePlus 13 series, we have established a robust platform for the upcoming year. We will persist in launching state-of-the-art technology across all our product lines, with innovation at the heart of our strategy,” the spokesperson stated.
Through ‘Project Starlight’, OnePlus has rolled out a complete greenline worry-free solution for the OnePlus Community. This initiative encompasses advanced display technology, stringent quality checks, and a stronger commitment to its lifetime warranty against green line issues.
“Alongside the recent OnePlus 13 launch, OnePlus is excited to present the second-generation 2K 120Hz ProXDR Display with LTPO 4.1, which has received an A++ certification from DisplayMate,” the company added, noting that it also addresses specific concerns of some Indian users regarding green line problems related to other climate challenges.
“Through ‘Project Starlight’, we are dedicated to three primary objectives: enhancing device durability, delivering exceptional customer service, and innovating India-specific features,” the spokesperson concluded.
