Chennai, Jan 10 (NationPress) Union Minister of Railways and Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, expressed his delight on Friday about being involved in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's grand vision to position India as a central hub for electronics manufacturing.
During the inauguration of a laptop assembly line for Syrma SGS Technology Ltd and MSI in Chennai, the minister shared his joy, particularly when witnessing young women engaged in the assembly process.
He stated, "The satisfaction they derive from operating these advanced machines, the training they’ve received, and their dedicated work ethic is truly inspiring. Many come from local villages, and it is uplifting to recognize their skills."
Syrma SGS, a prominent player in electronics systems design and manufacturing, has partnered with MSI, a global frontrunner in AI PCs and gaming, as its manufacturing collaborator in India to assemble laptops for the domestic market.
Through this strategic partnership, Syrma SGS will assemble laptops for MSI at its advanced facility in Chennai.
According to John Hung, General Manager of India NB at MSI, India has always been a crucial market for the company. "As we grow our presence here, it's vital for our products to remain globally competitive while being produced locally," he stated.
"This collaboration showcases our mutual commitment to innovation, quality, and fortifying India's manufacturing ecosystem. We are eager to provide high-tech products to our customers and play a role in the growth of the Indian economy," Hung added.
Satendra Singh, CEO of Syrma SGS, mentioned that this collaboration "not only enhances our IT hardware manufacturing portfolio but also highlights our capability to deliver top-notch, innovative solutions that cater to the demands of global leaders like MSI."
Syrma SGS is recognized as an IT hardware PLI-approved manufacturer and plays a vital role in the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
