New Delhi, Jan 18 (NationPress) The renowned IT software giant Wipro is set to recruit a maximum of 12,000 fresh graduates in the upcoming fiscal year (FY26), following its goal of hiring around 10,000 freshers during the current fiscal year (FY25).

As per the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer Saurabh Govil, nearly 7,000 freshers have already joined in the October-December (Q3) quarter, with an additional 2,500-3,000 anticipated in Q4 FY25.

Govil highlighted a careful yet steady hiring strategy as the IT firm reevaluates its hiring processes to enhance employee productivity and increase profit margins in light of falling attrition rates.

Wipro's Q3 FY25 results showed a workforce of 232,732 employees (a net decrease of 1,157) as of December 31, 2024, with a net utilization rate of 83.5 percent.

The IT giant registered a 4.5 percent sequential rise in consolidated net profit, amounting to Rs 3,354 crore for the October-December quarter compared to the previous quarter. The company has also announced an interim dividend of Rs 6 per share.

For the quarter ending March 31, 2025, Wipro forecasts revenue from its IT Services segment to be between $2,602 million and $2,655 million.

According to Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro, despite the seasonally sluggish quarter, “our robust execution during the quarter allowed us to exceed the upper limit of our revenue guidance.”

Aparna Iyer, Chief Financial Officer, mentioned that the company has increased margins for the fourth consecutive quarter, “allowing us to meet our previously stated margin target of 17.5 percent.”

“We are excited to announce that the board has sanctioned our updated capital allocation policy, which raises the committed payout percentage to 70 percent or greater over a span of three years. Additionally, the board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 6 per share,” stated Iyer.
