Los Angeles, Feb 22 (NationPress) Hollywood star George Clooney disclosed that he felt “he didn’t have a chance” with his wife Amal Clooney due to their age difference.

The 63-year-old actor married lawyer Amal Alamuddin in 2014, and they share seven-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. However, he admitted that being 17 years older than her might have posed a challenge.

He expressed to the New York Times: “I wasn't really looking to be a dad. Then I met Amal, and we fell in love. After that, everything made sense.”

“(When we first met) I was like 'Oh my God!' I didn’t think I’d have much of a chance with her because I was 17 years older, and she seemed to have everything she desired.”

The actor brought up his age during a recent milestone birthday with Amal, according to reports from femalefirst.co.uk.

He mentioned: “I discussed this with Amal when I turned 60, sharing my worries about not being able to do all the activities I currently enjoy as I age. I told her, ‘Look, I can still play full-court basketball. I can still run around. I can still do pretty much everything I did when I was 30. But in 30 years, I’ll be 90. There are some things you can’t do at that age, no matter how many granola bars you consume.’”

The Hollywood star further explained to his wife that he wants to “jam in” as much as he can over the upcoming years, even if it means reducing his work commitments.

He remarked: “I told Amal, ‘We need to concentrate on the next 20, 25 years, ensuring we fit in everything we can. Not just work, because nobody at the end of their life says, ‘I wish I worked more…’”
