New Delhi, April 30 (NationPress) Actress and parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut has finally found the time to settle into her new MP bungalow, a historic structure over a century old, located in the heart of the National Capital.
Kangana took to her Instagram stories to share a glimpse of her moving-in ceremony, which included a puja ritual, marking her first time moving into a new residence. Dressed in a beautiful white and red saree complemented by elegant golden jewellery, she seemed to radiate joy.
In her caption, she wrote, “Finally got some time to shift to Delhi MP house.”
She later posted a photo from the temple area of her new home, adding, “It was not easy to restore a century old MP house.”
On the cinematic front, Kangana was last seen in the historical biopic Emergency, which she directed and co-produced, with a screenplay crafted by Ritesh Shah. The film revolves around the Indian Emergency and features Kangana portraying Indira Gandhi, a former Prime Minister of India.
In other updates, Kangana recently alleged that the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd issued her a hefty monthly bill of Rs one lakh for her residence in Manali. However, the electricity board refuted her claims, stating that she was indeed a defaulter on her dues.
The board clarified that the bill covered two months and totaled Rs 90,384, explaining that Kangana had been irregular with her payments. The connected load at her residence is reported to be 94.82 kW, which is significantly higher—1,500 percent more than the average household.
In March, the actress completed filming for her upcoming untitled drama alongside R Madhavan. This highly anticipated thriller is directed by A.L. Vijay. She expressed her excitement on social media, stating, "Most amazing experience to work with really humble and supportive Suresh sir." She also shared a celebratory picture with the team, showcasing her joy as they wrapped up production.
This project marks the return of Kangana and R Madhavan to the screen together after nearly ten years since their last collaboration in the hit film Tanu Weds Manu Returns in 2015.
Additionally, Kangana has an exciting slate ahead with the much-anticipated sequel to her 2019 film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, titled The Legend of Didda.
