Mumbai, Feb 1 (NationPress) Bollywood director Karan Johar, who has frequently been the target of online criticism, remarked that 'kindness' used to be a valued trait but has now become a 'limited edition emotion.'

Karan took to his Instagram stories to express his views on 'kindness', stating that it is rarely available.

He wrote: 'Kindness was once a virtue... now it's a limited edition emotion... it's never in stock and there are way too many replicas!'

A well-known social media personality, Karan had earlier voiced his worries about the excessive consumption of reel content, even questioning the existence of rehabilitation centers for 'reels.'

On January 31, he inquired on his Instagram stories, 'Is there a rehab for reels?'

Earlier this month, he conveyed a message to 'avid reel consumers' and discussed how they have said farewell to the 'silently suffering attention span.'

He shared a thoughtful note that also mentioned the 'death of books' due to the consumption of clips.

'Dear avid REEL consumer, You have officially bid goodbye to the silently suffering ‘Attention Span’... and as far as I am concerned you killed me a decade ago. Regretfully yours, BOOK.' he captioned.

The filmmaker is preparing to host the 25th edition of the IIFA award ceremony.

KJo expressed that being a host for the IIFA Awards has always been a remarkable experience.

'This year, as IIFA celebrates its glorious 25 years of cinematic brilliance and global unity, my heart swells with pride and gratitude. Jaipur, Rajasthan with its majestic beauty and rich cultural heritage, couldn’t be a more fitting venue for this momentous Silver Jubilee celebration.'

He further noted that the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) is beyond just an awards show—it’s a heartfelt tribute to Indian cinema and its worldwide influence.

Actress Kareena Kapoor will also pay homage to her legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor, with a special tribute during IIFA 2025.
