No Validity to Claims that Nayanthara Lacked Permission from Sivaji Productions for Documentary: Insiders
Chennai, Jan 7 (NationPress) Recent social media claims about actress Nayanthara failing to secure permission from Sivaji Productions to use clips from ‘Chandramukhi’ in the Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’ have been dismissed by sources close to her.

Chennai, Jan 7 (NationPress) There is no validity to the claims circulating on social media that actress Nayanthara did not obtain authorization from Sivaji Productions for including clips from the film ‘Chandramukhi’ in the Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’, sources affiliated with the actress have clarified.

Additionally, they have released a copy of the letter from Sivaji Productions, which indicates that the production house has no objections to the inclusion of 'Chandramukhi' clips in the Netflix series.

The issue began when renowned producer and actor Chitra Lakshmanan alleged in a YouTube interview that another legal notice had been served to actress Nayanthara and to Netflix, demanding Rs five crores as compensation for using footage from ‘Chandramukhi’ in the documentary about her wedding without proper approval.

Chitra Lakshmanan noted that this was the second notice directed at the actress following a legal notice from actor Dhanush regarding the unauthorized use of a three-second clip filmed on the sets of his movie ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’.

It is worth mentioning that Nayanthara previously addressed Dhanush’s notice with a pointed three-page response, which sparked considerable controversy online.

However, this time, Nayanthara has chosen not to respond directly; instead, sources associated with her have shared a copy of the ‘No Objection Certificate’ provided by Sivaji Productions, the company behind ‘Chandramukhi’, for public viewing.

The letter, titled ‘No Objection Certificate for Video Footage Usage in Netflix Documentary’, specifies that there are no objections to a 13-second movie clip and a four-second song clip from the film being utilized in the Netflix documentary.

One of the sources shared the No Objection certificate on social media, stating, “This is proof that permission to use the footage of ‘Chandramukhi’ was granted by Sivaji films. The rumor mills can now cease operations.”
