Mumbai, Feb 3 (NationPress) Producer-director Sooraj R. Barjatya, celebrated for films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, recently reminisced about ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ and disclosed an interesting fact: despite his work with the iconic dog Tuffy, he harbors a genuine fear of animals.

During an appearance on the latest episode of the singing competition ‘Indian Idol’, Sooraj shared his anxiety regarding animals.

The creator of the OTT series ‘Bada Naam Karenge’ stated, “Animals hold an equal significance to humans, yet I feel frightened in their presence. While filming ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, we had two dogs portraying Tuffy, one for the morning scenes and another for the evening shoots. Similarly, in ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, during the elephant scene, I maintained my distance, too apprehensive to be close to my actors while they worked with the animals.”

Despite his trepidations, Barjatya’s narrative talent transformed Tuffy into a beloved character in Hindi cinema, showcasing how his artistic vision surpasses his personal fears.

‘Bada Naam Karenge’, directed by Palash Vaswani, known for ‘Gullak’, presents a GenZ love story exploring the theme of discovering one’s heritage. The series boasts an ensemble cast including Ritik Ghanshani, Ayesha Kaduskar, Kanwaljeet Singh, Alka Amin, Rajesh Jais, and numerous others.

The show is scheduled to premiere on Sony LIV on February 7, while ‘Indian Idol’ is broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television.

Previously, Kanwaljit Singh shared his long-held aspiration to collaborate with Rajshri Productions after over 50 years in the film industry. He expressed that ‘Bada Naam Karenge’ enabled him to fulfill this dream.

This program delves into the theme of love that challenges norms and redefines familial connections.
