Mumbai, Feb 5 (NationPress) Actor-filmmaker and politician Kangana Ranaut has taken on a new venture as a restaurateur. She described this endeavor as one of the most meaningful projects in her life and an extension of her identity.

Kangana shared the news on her social media, unveiling her café named The Mountain Story and posting a video that highlights her Himachali roots.

The video was accompanied by the caption: “A childhood dream comes alive, my little café in the lap of Himalayas. The Mountain Story, it’s a love story. #TheMountainStory Opening 14th February.”

Kangana expressed: “This is undoubtedly among the most special projects of my life; it represents an extension of myself, something deeply connected to my heart and my roots. I’m incredibly proud to provide this experience through The Mountain Story.”

She joins a growing list of celebrities entering the hospitality industry, with other Bollywood figures like Malaika Arora, Amruta Arora Ladak, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, Rakul Preet Singh, Sunny Leone, Dharmendra, Asha Bhosle, and Bobby Deol having opened their own restaurants recently.

On the cinematic front, Kangana was recently featured in a historical biopic that she directed and co-produced. The film is based on a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and depicts the Indian Emergency, with Ranaut portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

‘Emergency’ takes place during the 1970s when the late Prime Minister imposed the Emergency, promising a compelling look at this significant chapter in Indian democracy.

Last month, Kangana revealed she is already working on her next film. She posted a behind-the-scenes image on Instagram from the yet-to-be-titled project.

The image featured a clapperboard detailing the shooting day, and the film also stars R. Madhavan, marking a reunion nearly a decade after they last appeared together in Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

The actress captioned the picture: “Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set”.
