Mumbai, Dec 28 (NationPress) It appears that Bollywood icon Varun Dhawan has quickly shifted his focus from the moderate response to his latest theatrical project ‘Baby John’. The actor is gearing up to welcome the New Year with his loved ones, having been photographed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai this past Saturday.
Together with his wife Natasha Dalal and their daughter, Varun was seen embarking on their New Year getaway.
The actor sported a black t-shirt, complemented by grey trousers and a stylish black jacket, finished off with red and black footwear. He rounded off his travel-ready appearance with a backpack, beanie, and sunglasses.
Previously, Varun addressed the necessary changes in the Hindi film industry, expressing that Bollywood is currently influenced by perspectives that are not representative of a pan-India outlook, but rather are confined to the Mumbai-centric view. While it’s understandable to be swayed by the city, which is India’s entertainment nucleus, he believes it’s essential for diverse voices from across the country to contribute to Bollywood for richer storytelling.
During his discussion on ‘The Ranveer Show’, he remarked, “I think it’s crucial that we hear voices from various regions, beyond just Bombay. We need contributions from tier 2 and tier 3 cities as well. This diversity is vital.”
“In the past, this was more common. Nowadays, it seems more challenging to break into the industry. Many are contemplating whether to pursue a career in films, become influencers, direct short films, or explore opportunities in OTT platforms. There are now more options available,” he elaborated.
Varun also pointed out that industry leaders in Bollywood must recognize the necessity of adapting to contemporary times, and if they cannot do so, they should be prepared to relinquish some control to foster collective growth within the industry.
