Seoul, Feb 21 (NationPress) North Korea's Defence Minister has reaffirmed the "invincible" friendship with Russia during a banquet to mark Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day, which was organized by the Russian Embassy in Pyongyang, as reported by state media on Friday.
The banquet, which took place on Thursday, was hosted by Russian Ambassador Alexandr Matsegora and a defense attaché, and saw the attendance of Defence Minister No Kwang-chol, Vice Foreign Minister Kim Jong-gyu, along with various military and diplomatic officials, as quoted by Yonhap news agency from the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day, celebrated on February 23, honors the nation's military history, veterans, and servicemen.
During his address at the event, the North Korean defense chief referenced a summit held between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Pyongyang last June, emphasizing the alignment between the two nations.
