Kolkata, April 24 (NationPress) BJP legislators in Bengal, spearheaded by the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, organized protests on Thursday against the Pahalgam terror attack, where they burned Pakistan flags in front of the Assembly.

“The spouses of both Bitan Adhikari and Sameer Guha, the two tourists from West Bengal who lost their lives in Pahalgam on Wednesday, recounted how Hindus were targeted there. Bengalis are known for their love of travel. I urge them to consider the demographic makeup of their travel destinations from now on,” Adhikari stated to the press.

“Whether it’s the recent riots in Murshidabad or in Kashmir, the goal remains the same: to selectively attack Hindus,” the Leader of the Opposition asserted.

He further claimed that, akin to Israeli actions in Gaza, Pakistan will also face repercussions from India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“As long as Modi is at the helm, anything is achievable. Just like Gaza, Pakistan will be obliterated,” Adhikari declared.

Previously, he criticized actor-turned-politician and Trinamool Congress member from Asansol, Shatrughan Sinha, for suggesting that an agenda is being pushed to portray only Hindus as victims.

Referring to Sinha's remarks, Adhikari emphasized that while terrorists may originate from outside, their supporters linger within the nation.

“Their primary objective is to downplay the severity of the violence. I hope they never encounter the barrel of a gun and are compelled to recite the Kalma, as I wouldn’t want them to realize the fool’s paradise they inhabit or feel even the slightest pang of regret. They are beyond redemption,” Adhikari commented.
