Patna, Feb 8 (NationPress) Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the party's success in the Delhi Assembly elections, asserting that after monumental victories in Haryana and Delhi, it is now Bihar's turn to witness a BJP win.
Following the BJP's overwhelming success in Delhi, a wave of celebration has swept through the party's ranks.
In an interview with IANS, Prasad characterized the Delhi victory as historic, mentioning, "When there was a minor decline in the Lok Sabha results, Rahul Gandhi began to criticize, alleging that PM Narendra Modi no longer met his gaze after the defeat. However, the electorate responded by defeating them in Haryana. Subsequently, we triumphed in Maharashtra and Delhi, marking our return to power in Delhi after two decades. Kejriwal's falsehoods were laid bare."
Prasad voiced his certainty that Bihar would be the next state to fall under BJP's influence.
"This time it is Bihar's turn. Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav remain silent. The populace is dismissing their fabrications and is rallying behind Modi Ji's governance," he further stated.
The BJP leader also touched on the bypoll results in Uttar Pradesh's Milkipur Assembly seat, where the BJP claimed victory.
“I’ve heard that in Milkipur, the BJP has won by over 60,000 votes. The entire nation is progressing under Modi Ji's leadership. The public trusts him, and their support is a repudiation of the opposition's lies,” he commented.
Prasad also addressed the AAP's defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, noting that prominent AAP figures like Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Saurabh Bharadwaj faced losses.
“The politics of deception does not endure in this nation. The people favor those who govern honestly and deliver effectively,” he remarked.
He lauded the administration of Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath, highlighting the revitalization of the Yamuna and the achievements of the ‘40 crore soldiers’ who bathed in the river, presenting it as a testament to competent governance.
“The public seeks effective governance,” he concluded, extending congratulations to the citizens of Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the party workers.
Currently, the BJP leads in Delhi with 48 seats, overshadowing the AAP's 22.
