New Delhi, Feb 23 (NationPress) A significant number of individuals congregated outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Shalimar Bagh on Sunday morning, as citizens from across the city came to meet and congratulate her.

Supporters from various parts of the city flocked to her home to express their appreciation and admiration. The atmosphere was vibrant with excitement and joy as attendees, eager to share the moment, captured photographs with the newly appointed Chief Minister and presented her with flowers.

CM Gupta, in return, engaged with her well-wishers, addressing them and conveying her gratitude for their support.

Since her inauguration as CM, a consistent flow of visitors has been observed at her humble abode. She has been meeting everyone and acknowledging the greetings. Her former principal from Daulat Ram College, Savita Roy, also visited her on Saturday. She conveyed her happiness, reminiscing about their fond memories and extending her blessings.

On Saturday, CM Gupta had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence while her Cabinet ministers commenced their review of the repairs needed for pothole-ridden roads and ongoing projects across the city.

During her meeting with PM Modi, CM Gupta expressed her gratitude for providing a “daughter of Delhi” the opportunity to serve the public as Chief Minister, as stated by one of her aides.

Before departing for the PM’s residence, CM Gupta greeted her supporters from the first-floor balcony of her home in Shalimar Bagh that morning. Utilizing a public address system, she announced that in her meeting with PM Modi, she would convey, on behalf of all women and daughters of the city, appreciation for selecting a “Daughter of Delhi” to serve the city.

“On my first day in office, we approved the Ayushman Bharat scheme of PM Modi during the inaugural Cabinet meeting,” she stated, promising not to waste a single day and to continue serving the public.

“Our mission is to achieve Viksit Delhi as mandated by PM Modi,” she added.

Later, the Chief Minister convened a meeting with officials from the PWD department to enhance infrastructure and addressed issues related to the dug-up roads, damaged roads, and traffic in Delhi, providing directions for improvement.

PWD Minister Parvesh Verma inspected the Barapullah Phase-3 project and assured prompt payment and environmental clearance that have allegedly delayed progress in the work.
