New Delhi, Feb 21 (NationPress) Emphasizing the Delhi government’s dedication to uphold promises made to the citizens, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta declared on Friday that she has commenced the process of gathering status updates from all governmental departments and is formulating layout plans for various welfare schemes.

“You will soon learn about the results,” she informed reporters as she exited her office at the Delhi Secretariat.

Earlier that day, she had a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

“The Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt Rekha Gupta, visited President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” stated a post on the official 'X' account of Rashtrapati Bhavan, along with a photograph of their meeting.

During the initial Cabinet meeting, the CM approved a 100-day action plan for the new administration, decided to clean the Yamuna river and enhance the riverfront, agreed to present the pending CAG reports in the Assembly, and sanctioned the introduction of the Central-government funded Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), which provides health coverage to every family.

Chief Minister Gupta, the only female head of government among the 16 BJP-ruled states, asserted that former CM Arvind Kejriwal must answer for “every penny” misused by his administration.

On Friday, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, during a press briefing, stated that not a single penny of public or government resources will be squandered on glorifying the government, the Chief Minister, or the political party.

Residents of Delhi recall the oath-taking ceremonies of Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP government in 2015 and 2020, when public funds were used to inundate streets and newspapers with government advertisements just days before the event, he mentioned.

In contrast, on Thursday, the BJP government in Delhi refrained from utilizing any public treasury funds to promote the oath-taking ceremony, Sachdeva noted.

The Delhi BJP president further emphasized that all advertisements, hoardings, and invitations for the “Developed Delhi” oath-taking ceremony were entirely financed by the BJP itself.

He pointed out that the AAP government expended crores of rupees from public funds for self-aggrandizement in 2020.
