New Delhi, April 24 (NationPress) Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, a wave of anger and sorrow has swept across the nation. Protests took place at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where citizens gathered to voice their opposition against Pakistan on Thursday. While some participated in a candlelight vigil, others expressed their dissent in various ways.

Medical professionals from Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, including resident doctors, nurses, and other staff, assembled in large numbers to conduct a candlelight procession. They marched together to denounce Pakistan’s “cowardly” terror attack and to convey a powerful message to the world: “We will not be afraid.”

The demonstrators voiced their outrage over the intentional targeting of defenseless tourists. They emphasized that such a brutal act, where innocent individuals were shot at point-blank range, is unacceptable. The group also urged the Indian government to take decisive and prompt action against the terrorists responsible.

Speaking to IANS, Dr. Manoj Kumar Jha, Additional Medical Superintendent at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, remarked, “All of us - doctors, nurses, and staff - have gathered at Jantar Mantar to protest against the attack that occurred in Pahalgam. We extend our condolences to the families of the 28 victims and have come here to pay our respects.”

“We have complete faith in our nation's leadership, especially after the statements made by the Prime Minister regarding this matter. In past situations, the Prime Minister has taken firm actions. We are confident that once again, stringent measures will be enacted to prevent similar incidents in the future,” he added.

Dr. Ajay Shukla, Medical Superintendent at RML Hospital, told IANS: “We are gathered at Jantar Mantar today to protest the incident that happened in Pahalgam. Our message is: May God grant wisdom to all. There is only one God for everyone. Those who believe they were created by a different God do not truly understand the divinity above. They think only their God created them, and not others—that is a flawed belief. We assert that the one above created all equally. Why can’t they comprehend this? Why do they (Pakistan) act this way to assert their significance, creating turmoil in a beautiful state like Kashmir without regard for their own people?”

“After hearing the Prime Minister's remarks on terrorism, we urge him to implement strict measures so that those responsible for this act are aware of the repercussions they will face,” he added.

Ultimately, the march concluded with candles lit in remembrance of the victims and a call for justice against those behind the attack.
