Amaravati, Jan 20 (NationPress) A drone was spotted hovering above the camp office (official residence) of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan near Mangalagiri two days ago, and it has been identified as belonging to the state government.

The police launched an investigation after a complaint was filed by the Jana Sena Party, which led to the identification of the drone.

Further inquiries revealed that the drone is owned by Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited (APSFL), a corporation under the state government. Its intended use was for studies related to traffic, sanitation, canal management, and road conditions. Notably, the drone was also seen flying over the offices of the Jana Sena and Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The Jana Sena raised concerns after the drone hovered over Pawan Kalyan's camp office for approximately 20 minutes on Saturday afternoon. Upon noticing the drone, a leader from the party alerted the offices of the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Guntur district Collector and Superintendent of Police.

The party promptly informed the DGP and district authorities to investigate the matter and implement safety measures. The police then began probing the origins of the drone and reviewed CCTV footage to identify its operators. After a comprehensive investigation, it was confirmed that the drone belonged to a state-owned corporation.

Given recent events, the Jana Sena expressed heightened concern over the drone's presence above the Deputy Chief Minister's camp office.

In a related incident, a man impersonating an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer was apprehended while near Pawan Kalyan during his visit to the north coastal districts on December 28.
