Patna, Feb 22 (NationPress) Denying RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's assertion that his party will establish government in the state following the 2025 Assembly elections, Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh stated on Saturday that Lalu's rule will never return to Bihar.

While addressing journalists, Union Minister Singh remarked, "Tejashwi Yadav is asserting that he will form the next government. It’s akin to him preparing his own Pua (a traditional sweet dish)", implying that he is merely indulging in wishful thinking.

He emphasized that the government is chosen by the people who are sufficiently aware not to revert to Lalu's rule in Bihar.

This pointed response followed Tejashwi's claim that the RJD would be the next ruling party in Bihar.

The former Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi, also alleged that the BJP is rife with various factions within the state.

Commenting on former Union Minister and BJP leader RK Singh’s recent remarks about "internal conspiracies" within the party, Tejashwi accused the party of being significantly fractured.

RK Singh asserted that he lost in the Lok Sabha elections due to some of his party leaders' conspiracies.

Giriraj Singh refuted this assertion, stating: "There is only one faction in our party, and that is the Bharatiya Janata Party."

When questioned about opposition leaders challenging the Kumbh Mela, Giriraj Singh reproached them, declaring, "Insulting Sanatan Dharma is unacceptable."

Leaders such as Lalu Prasad and West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee have raised doubts regarding the Maha Kumbh.

Lalu Prasad previously claimed that the Maha Kumbh is pointless, while the West Bengal CM referred to it as "Mritu Kumbh."

Both opposition figures were highlighting the tragic stampede incidents in Sangam, Prayagraj, and at New Delhi railway station that resulted in numerous fatalities.

During Mauni Amawasya, 30 individuals lost their lives and over a hundred sustained injuries in Prayagraj.

In a separate incident, eighteen people, including five children, were killed and over a dozen injured during a stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on February 15, triggered by a sudden influx of passengers eager to board trains heading to Prayagraj, where the Maha Kumbh Mela is currently ongoing.

Giriraj Singh's comments come at a time when political tensions in Bihar are intensifying, with RJD and BJP-JDU alliances preparing for a fierce contest in the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
