Today marks the 41st day of the Maha Kumbh, with only four days remaining until this grand spiritual event concludes. The festival began on January 13 and will conclude on February 26, coinciding with Maha Shivratri.
The Maha Kumbh has attracted millions of devotees from all over India and beyond, solidifying its reputation as the largest gathering of people on Earth.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the Maha Kumbh for nine hours today, overseeing preparations for the Maha Shivratri 'Amrit Snan'.
He is expected to welcome Nadda at the Triveni Guest House in Arail. Afterward, around 3 pm, both leaders will perform a sacred dip at Triveni Sangam and visit the Bade Hanuman Temple and Akshayvat for prayers.
As of 8 am today, approximately 33.10 lakh devotees had already taken a dip at the Sangam. To date, about 59.64 crore pilgrims have participated in the holy baths, making this event one of the largest gatherings in history.
With the final weekend nearing, Prayagraj is experiencing significant traffic congestion, with vehicles being halted 10 km before the Sangam. Devotees are walking the remaining distance, which can take up to two to three hours for just 500 meters.
Despite the challenges of the massive crowds, many devotees have praised the meticulous arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh government.
Many have recognized the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath in ensuring the festival is smooth and well-organized.
